Mellow flavours, good strength of flavours, and very pleasantmuch better than I expected from all of the opprobrium and customer backlash which this company and this label have received.

The Grangestone Islay Blend is a "vatted" or "blended" malt in that all the whisky is malt whisky but from different distilleries (hence, not a "single" or single distillery malt). Grangestone Highland 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is produced by an independent bottler, reportedly by retailer Total Wine via their in-house operation, Spirits Direct.
